Greer Garson Theatre on SMU Campus
Directions to SMU
SMU is located in the heart of Dallas in University Park – a traditional residential neighborhood just five miles north of downtown. It is bound by U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway) to the east, Hillcrest Avenue to the west, Mockingbird Lane to the south and Daniel Avenue to the north.
In addition to the general directions below, please note the map above for the specific location of the Greer Garson Theatre. The Theatre is located on Hillcrest Avenue between Granada and Binkley, in the Meadows School of the Arts building. Parking is available in the Meadows Museum garage, in the parking lot to the south of the Theatre, and across Hillcrest in the residential area (please note parking restrictions in residential areas).

Traveling from the north, take the Lovers Lane/University Boulevard/SMU Boulevard exit.

Turn right and travel to Hillcrest Avenue.

Turn left.

Traveling from the south, take the Mockingbird Lane/SMU Boulevard exit. Turn left on Mockingbird and travel to Hillcrest Avenue.

Turn right on Hillcrest.

Exit Mockingbird Lane and turn left on Hillcrest Avenue.

Traveling south on IH-35E, exit east on IH-635 (LBJ Freeway).

Proceed to U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway) and exit south toward downtown.

Proceed about five miles and take the Lovers Lane/University Boulevard/SMU Boulevard exit.

Turn right on Lovers Lane

Turn left on Hillcrest Avenue.

Traveling north on IH-35E, exit east on the Woodall Rogers Freeway just north of downtown Dallas. Proceed east for a few miles and then exit north to U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway). Proceed north for about five miles and take the Mockingbird Lane/SMU Boulevard exit.

Turn left on Mockingbird Lane, and then right on Hillcrest Avenue.

Traveling from either direction, exit north to U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway); the sign indicates “Sherman.”

Proceed north for about five miles and take the Mockingbird Lane/SMU Boulevard exit.

Turn left on Mockingbird Lane

Then turn right on Hillcrest Avenue.

Take the North Exit from the airport to IH-635 (LBJ Freeway).

Proceed to U.S. Highway 75 (North Central Expressway) and exit south toward downtown.
